Plinth vs. your field software’s AI
Keep your field service software. Running the work isn’t the job Plinth does.
ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber and Workiz have been adding AI answering and lead capture for years, often inside a plan you already pay for. That is a real product at a hard-to-argue-with price. So the question isn’t whether theirs answers the phone — it does. The question is what you can learn after it has.
Set up in minutes. No new software for your crew to learn.
What your field software’s AI does well
It lives where your jobs already live. It knows your customers, your history and your crews because it IS the system of record, and nothing has to be integrated for that to be true. If it is bundled into a plan you’re already paying for, switching it on costs you nothing. For a contractor who wants the phone answered and the message landing beside the schedule, that is a good deal, and we’d tell you so.
What it can only ever see
Your field software’s AI can account for what your field software caused. It has no view of the rest of what you spend to get customers — the agency retainer, the Local Services Ads, the marketplace leads — so it can’t tell you which of those is producing paid work and which is quietly burning money. It also charges the same whether it books you nothing or twenty jobs, because it isn’t priced on the outcome. Plinth sits above the operations layer rather than inside it: it answers the lead, books it, collects the payment, and grades every channel including the ones it had nothing to do with — then takes its share only on jobs it can show it caused.

Book a DemoWhen your field software’s AI is the right call
If all you want is the phone answered and the message landing beside the job record, use the one you’re already paying for — genuinely, don’t pay us for that. The reason to add Plinth is the question your field software structurally cannot answer: of everything you spend to win customers, which parts are producing paid work? If you aren’t asking that question yet, you don’t need us yet.
Fair questions
Straight answers
Do I have to leave ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or Jobber?
No — and we’d rather you didn’t. They run the work once it’s sold, and they run it well. Plinth sits above that: it wins the customer and proves the revenue. Nothing to migrate, nothing new for the crew to learn, and no decision for you to put off while you think it over.
Isn’t their AI free with my plan?
Often, yes — and that is honestly its strongest argument. Free is the right price if what you want is the phone answered. What it can’t do is tell you which calls became paid jobs across all your marketing, or charge you less in a month it produced nothing. If those two things aren’t worth $199 to you, keep the free one.
Why wouldn’t they just build what Plinth does?
They can build the features. The pricing is the harder part. Charging on outcomes means earning less in a bad month. That is difficult to adopt when you already have a large base paying a flat fee and perfectly content — it is a business-model question rather than an engineering one.
Would I be paying twice for the same thing?
There is one genuine overlap, and it’s worth naming. If your field software’s AI already answers the phone, that’s the piece that doubles up — you’d turn one of them off. Scheduling, invoicing and the job record stay exactly where they are. What doesn’t overlap is the attribution, because nothing else you own can see across all of your channels at once.
